UTRGV programs recognized in student-focused research

In a research of 1,604 accredited colleges and universities, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has been awarded top ranking by Intelligent.com 

Intelligent is a website dedicated to providing students with research and information about higher education programs. 

The student-focused research evaluated each university on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment. 

Six online programs at UTRGV were ranked: No. 1 in Sports Medicine, No. 5 in Master’s in Business Administration in Finance, No. 13 in Social Work, No. 14 in Master’s in Public Administration, No. 15 in Master’s in Sports Medicine, and No. 32 in Master’s in Social Work. 

“This is great news for our online programs that have been helping many professionals take the next steps in their careers and futures,” UTRGV Executive Vice President for Research, Graduate Studies, and New Program Development Dr. Parwinder Grewal said in a news release. 

Aside from rankings, several programs were recognized: Masters of Science in Kinesiology was recognized as Most Customizable Program, MBA in Financial Planning was recognized as Best in the South, and Master of Public Affairs was recognized with Most Flexible Start Terms. 

The Master of Science in Social Work gained attention for its Latinx-focused program.
