EDINBURG — Police here arrested a man on accusations of aggravated assault on November 18.
According to the press release, officers responded to gunshots at the 2000 block of Ash Circle around 2:51 a.m.
The victim, who is unidentified, reported a disturbance between an unidentified woman and his neighbor outside. The neighbor was identified as James Aldair Tennefoss, 23.
Tennefoss went inside his home, so the victim checked in with the woman to make sure she was unharmed.
Returning with a shotgun in his hands, Tennefoss fired two shots in the air after threatening the victim to stay away from his girlfriend, according to the report.
While Tennefoss aimed his shotgun at him, the victim returned to his home safely where he proceeded to call the police.
Tennefoss was charged with aggravated assault. After being brought before Judge Toribio Palacios, who set a bail of $30,000, Tennefoss was transported to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department Jail.
