McAllen police searching for man accused of aggravated assault

MCALLEN — The McAllen police department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man suspected of aggravated assault.

The McAllen Municipal Court issued an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Jacob Edward Lopez on Monday.

Lopez is described as Hispanic, about 6 feet in height, weighing about 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

According to a news release, McAllen police responded to the 2100 Block of W. Sprague Road on Sunday at approximately 4 a.m.

Police officers learned a weapon was discharged during an argument and two people were injured. They were transported to a local area hospital where they were treated and released. It is reported that all parties involved are known to each other.
