Have fun with your family and friends on the Sooo Bony Trail at Quinta Mazatlán.
This charming and educational daytime nature event is all about vertebrates, with surprises around every corner. Experience the trail, engage in themed programs — or both — through Nov. 2.
Children of all ages will learn about the five classes of vertebrates as they discover interactive displays throughout the woods. Experience the Bone Yard, Barking Bones, Bird Bones and meet Napoleon Bone-apart! Bring your own bones to the Sooo Bony Trail during park hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and Thursdays until dark.
The trail is free to explore with park admission. No bones about it: skeletons are not spooky, just cool.
Take a walk on your own, or come for a class with hands-on, brain engaging fun. Tots, ages 2 to 6, will enjoy the Nature Nugget program at 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. All ages can partake in Creature Feature at 11 a.m. Saturdays. This month, class themes are all about nightlife- like bats and opossums. They have bones. Did you know spiders have no bones? Get to know these and other creatures this weekend!
