Rain is in the forecast across the Valley

While the totals won’t be large, rain is in the forecast for the entire Rio Grande Valley as a cold front is slated to move into the area tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS is predicting up to an inch of rain in most of the Valley, and suggests an increased amount of lightning and brief, but heavy rainfall.

Thanks to this front, temperatures today should stay below 100, a trend which continues until at least Thursday, when the rain chance begins to drop again.

Wednesday sees a decent chance for scattered showers with highs seeing a potential of 97 degrees and lows in the mid 70s.
