High temperatures continue to be commonplace

McAllen may not break 100 today, but it’s still going to be a hot one across the board.

While McAllen is only forecast to reach 99 degrees, Rio Grande City may see as high as 104, with Zapata coming in at 106, according to the National Weather Service.

Should the forecast hold, Brownsville will see a little respite from the 100s, coming in at 96 degrees, with South Padre Island potentially hitting only 87 degrees.

Rain is nowhere to be seen.

Heading into the weekend, temperatures remain about the same, with highs between 95 and 104 for much of the weekend.

Isolated showers become a possibility on Monday and Tuesday, with potential highs only reaching about 100 degrees.
