After helping Monte Alto residents recover from late June’s flooding, the Hidalgo County Community Service Agency is taking its efforts to La Villa.

In a news release from Hidalgo County, CSA Executive Director Jaime Longoria said staff will be available at the La Villa Event Center at 916 on weekdays until July 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents needing assistance must be below 125 percent of the federal poverty level. A family of four, for instance, would need to make less than $32,189.

In order to apply, residents need a valid photo ID, proof of income, photos of the flood damage, a utility bill for the home and proof of ownership, if applying for a clean-up kit.

The La Villa Event Center is located at 916 S. Mike Chapa in La Villa. Residents are asked to park behind the fire station.
