Alamo PD searching for car involved in shooting

The Alamo Police Department continues to search for a vehicle involved in a shooting and crash Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Alamo PD received multiple phone calls in reference to a possible vehicle collision and shooting in progress, stated Officer Jacob Garcia of Alamo PD.

Police determined a shooting between two vehicles caused a White GMC Envoy to crash into a small black SUV, which consequently collided into a residential house on the corner of Tower Road and Greystone Circle, Garcia said. The driver of the Envoy, which suffered front-end damage, fled the crime scene.

The female driver and male passenger of the black SUV were transported to a hospital for injuries after the incident. They are being treated as victims while the investigation continues.

A local notification was sent out to some Alamo residents via an email from Alamo Country Club. The message said “the subjects have not been caught and were last seen running south on Tower Road.” Citizens were further advised to “be diligent” and “report any suspicious activities.”

Garcia said anyone who has information about the Envoy should call Alamo PD at (956) 787-1454 and ask to speak with investigations.
