The Hidalgo County Community Service Agency began providing limited disaster relief services to low income residents in the Delta area Thursday morning.

Personnel will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays at the Monte Alto Early College School cafeteria until July 3.

“The assistance is available to residents living below 125 percent of the federal poverty level,” a CSA news release read. “For example, qualifying income for a family of four is $32,188 or below.”

Residents must provide the following documentation to apply:

>> valid photo identification;
>> proof of income (last 30 days);
>> photos of damage;
>> utility bill for the address of the damaged home;
>> proof of home ownership (if applying for the clean-up kit).

Monte Alto Early College School is located at 8000 Valdez St. in Monte Alto, and those seeking assistance are asked to park at the gymnasium to access the cafeteria.
