As far as the National Weather Service is concerned, the rain has left the forecast for today in the Rio Grande Valley.
NWS is predicting cloudy skies and temperatures below 100 degrees across the board, with the coastal areas clocking in below 90. Today might be a good day to go to the beach.
McAllen is looking at a high of 95 degrees, with Brownsville not far behind at 93.
Friday and continuing into the weekend, temperatures begin to steadily increase. Sunday and the early week, however, see numbers back below 100, but with an increased chance of rain.
All in all, it’s going to still be hot for a while yet.
