Take care as you go about your business today. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures could reach as high as 104 in parts of the Rio Grande Valley, with indices as high as 112 degrees.
The five-day outlook isn’t much better, with potential highs of 111 on Thursday, only dropping slightly the following days. At these temperatures, it’s going to feel closer to 119.
If you’re looking for a respite from the heat, consider heading to the coast, as the forecast is predicting highs still in the double digits. South Padre Island’s high for the day is only 86 degrees.
Breezy days may help a bit with the heat, but the humidity isn’t going to relent.
