Expect another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies Tuesday in the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
There is a 40 to 60 percent chance for rain in the region. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s except along the coast, where temps will be in the mid 80s.
Brownsville will be 91 and McAllen 93.
There is a 40 percent chance for rain Wednesday before temperatures begin to heat up again. By this weekend, parts of the region could see triple-digit temps with “feels like” temperatures as high as 114 degrees.
