Expect a warm and breezy Monday in the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
Highs will be in the mid to uppers 90s for most of the region. Some areas may hit triple digits, especially west of Highway 281. Winds out of the southeast will increase through the morning, becoming breezy by noon.
The National Weather Service is advising people to drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen often if you have will be outdoors for an extended period of time.
Brownsville will be 94, McAllen 96 and Rio Grande City 99. South Padre Island’s high is expected to be 100.
