Expect a mild day with high temperatures remaining slightly below average and partly sunny skies Wednesday across the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
There is a 20 percent chance for rain in the upper Valley and a 30 percent chance in the lower Valley.
McAllen’s high is expected to be 87, Brownsville 86 and South Padre Island 79.
Looking ahead, there will be a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms through the rest of the week. Otherwise, the region will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies over the next five days.
The temperatures will gradually rise through the next few days with humid conditions. Winds will become breezy out of the southeast Friday and the start of the weekend.
