Expect a warm and breezy Wednesday in the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
There will be partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with winds coming out of the southeast. There will be a bit of haze, especially in the mid to lower valley.
Brownsville will be 89 and McAllen 94. Rio Grande City may hit 98 degrees today, while South Padre Island is expected to reach 79.
Looking ahead, warm and humid conditions with near- to above-average temperatures will continue throughout the next five days, featuring afternoon highs generally in the 80s and 90s and overnight lows in the 60s and 70s.
Rain and thunderstorm chances arrive from Thursday night into early next week as a front sags southward across Texas.
