Advice: Detours are the best part of life

My favorite thing about taking a road trip is the unexpected detours. I love stopping in a quaint little town to spend the afternoon window-shopping or watching a beautiful sunset from a little café that you accidently found while looking for a restaurant.

Life would be boring if all we did was stick to a plan. Often times, the opportunities we get in life are not what we thought we wanted or expected.
Some people are so focused on the finish line that they fail to see the blessings that come in between.

There are no smooth or straight roads when it comes to life. And you will make many wrong turns. What is important is that you learn from your mistakes and bad choices.

Some of us take more detours than others. These detours, such as bad jobs or bad relationships, are what help you get where you need to be.

It’s not easy getting back on your feet after a disappointment. However, you must embrace the challenge you face and vow to do something different next time.

You will get where you’re meant to be at your own pace because life is not a race.

Life, however, is filled with possibilities, that you will not be able to take advantage of if your judgment is cluttered and you’re only focused on one outcome.

Goals are important, but you have to be open to what the universe sends your way, because sometimes the detour is the right choice.

If the only way to reach our dreams would be limited to what we envision, life would be boring.

Don’t miss out on the journey. And once you get there, be grateful and don’t forget why you wanted it in the first place.
