Thursday will be warm with clouds expected to clear later this morning in the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
The cold front that moved through overnight brought drier air into the region, but high temperatures are still expected to reach the upper 80s and lower 90s for most of deep South Texas.
Brownsville and McAllen will be 89 and 92, respectively, today. South Padre Island’s high will be 76.
Looking ahead to the weekend, there will be mostly sunny skies Friday afternoon through Sunday. Afternoon high temperatures will remain warm to very warm. The humidity, however, will be lower with slightly cooler morning low temperatures.
