SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — Authorities are investigating the drowning of an unidentified man who was pulled out of the beach Monday morning.
The man is believed to be part of a group of undocumented migrants who were detained Sunday while attempting to cross into the U.S., according to authorities.
The body washed up on Cameron County Beach Access 5 at around 11:30 a.m.
There were no signs of foul play, and an autopsy was ordered.
The identity of the man was confirmed by the FBI but was not released.
