Expect warm, muggy and breezy conditions Friday across the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville. Morning clouds should also give way to partly cloudy skies by this afternoon.
High temperatures will reach the 80s in most locations with winds becoming very breezy by later this morning, especially along the coast. Mariners operating small craft should exercise caution on the Gulf because of the gusty winds.
McAllen will be 86, Brownsville 81 and South Padre Island 74. Rio Grande City will reach 88.
On Saturday, records may fall as highs are expected to range between 88 and 95 degrees. Through Wednesday expect temperatures to be in the 80s.
