High temperatures will be closer to seasonal normal weather across the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville. Temps will be in the mid to upper 70s with a mostly cloudy start to the day, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon.
There is a slight chance of light rain/drizzle, mainly in the eastern portions of the Valley. Both Brownsville and McAllen are expected to be 77.
On Friday, low temps will be in the 60s while highs will range between 83 and 92. On Saturday, the region could experience record-breaking heat. High temps will range between 87 and 94. Conditions may be breezy at times Friday into Saturday.
A weak cold front will move into the area late Saturday but will only drops temperatures a few degrees on Sunday.
