Today will be cooler than Thursday with mostly cloudy skies in the Rio Grande Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
Patchy fog will linger this morning, with slight chance of light rain or drizzle. Both McAllen and Brownsville will reach a high of 69.
The Valley will warm up on Saturday and Sunday. High’s on Sunday for the region will range between 84 and 93 degrees. Both days will experience breezy conditions with a chance of rain.
The warm weather will not last long, however. A cold front arrives on Monday that will drop temperatures into the 40s. Lows on Tuesday morning could dip into the 30s.
