Monday’s weather is expected to be mostly cloudy and breezy across the Rio Grande Valley, with temperatures reaching the low-to-mid 70s in the afternoon under mild conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
A slight chance of light rain is also forecast, primarily along and east of Highway 77.
Temperatures in McAllen and Brownsville are expected to reach 74 and 73 degrees, respectively, and 68 degrees on South Padre Island. Winds are forecast at 15 to 25 mph NE today.
On Tuesday, a 30 percent chance of rain is forecast with temperatures possibly dipping as low as 59 degrees, and highs reaching 79 degrees.
The weather is expected to warm up by Wednesday with highs reaching 86 degrees, and the lows at 64 degrees, under a 20-percent chance of rain.
