The city of Mission is giving residents the opportunity to discard unwanted items through a curbside collection program.
Residents can leave their unwanted “bulky” items outside their home by the curb no later than 7 a.m. between March 11-14. Homeowners are encouraged to keep bulky items away from low hanging tree limbs and cables, or in front of parked cars or mailboxes.
Bulky items cannot be left on vacant lots for pick up.
Brush will also not be accepted during this particular collection. Other items not accepted include household trash in bags or boxes, hazardous materials, household cleaners, tires, motor oil, car batteries, construction material and remodeling debris, such as bricks, sheetrock, insulation, flooring, concrete and shingles.
