Expect a cloudy and cool day to start the week, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville.
Monday temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s across the Rio Grande Valley. McAllen will see 60 degrees while the high in Rio Grande City will be 58. It will be a little warmer near the coast. Brownsville will see a high of 62.
There is also a slight chance for rain for the area.
On Tuesday, there will be a 60 percent chance of rain as temperatures remain cool. Highs will be between 56 and 65 on Tuesday. Low temps will range from 47 to 56 degrees.
After Tuesday, temperatures will begin to rise with a possibility of 80-degree weather on Friday.
A cold front will arrive in the Valley on Saturday, which will lead to cooler temperatures next Sunday and Monday.
