Advice: Tips for a fulfilling 2019

Sometimes we worry about things that really don’t matter and lose sight of what is important. Life is about reaching your goals, but it is also about being happy.

The older you get, the more you will realize that no matter how much you want something, it will not happen until the timing is right.

Life is not a race and some people need more time than others to figure things out. Don’t put yourself down or compare yourself to others. Focus on your education and work toward improving your life.

Surround yourself with motivated and positive individuals who are also working toward their goals and who will not bring you down.

Always do your best and do more than what is expected of you, but also learn how to say “no.” Work toward a work-life balance. There will be times when work takes over family time, but don’t over-extend and neglect the important people in your life.

Stop accumulating “things. How many pair of shoes and designer purses do you need? Not only do material things clutter your life, but they also put stress on your finances. You will live a happier life when you don’t have a huge credit card bill.

Eliminate toxic people and situations from your life. If something or someone does not bring you positivity and energy, get rid of them. Life is too short and too difficult for drama and non-essential distractions that keep you from being present and happy.

Make time for those you love. Give the best of you to your family. And whatever is left to others.

Take care of your body. Make sure you get enough sleep and exercise. Moderation is the key to a healthy lifestyle.

It’s impossible to live life without stress, so be kind to others and have empathy for their problems. We need others because life is easier when we have friends and family that we can count on.
