Saturday, thousands of Weslaco residents gave thanks together and shared a festive holiday meal during the 16th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing dinner.

Hundreds of H-E-B and community volunteers helped serve the free meal to more than 4,000 people at the St. Joan of Arc Parish. The event also included live music and entertainment.

Founded in 1989, the H-E-B Feast of Sharing dinners are an important part of the H-E-B Food Bank Assistance Program, which works year-round to prevent hunger in Texas and Mexico. The annual holiday feast includes more than 250,000 meals served during 30 dinners held throughout Texas and Mexico.
