Pharr to hire Alex Meade as city manager

After much pursuit, Pharr plans to hire Alex Meade, CEO of the Mission Economic Development Corporation, as its next city manager, according to people familiar with the decision. The city is expected to announce the hire in the coming weeks.

Holiday events aplenty for Hidalgo County communities

Trump joins Canada, Mexico leaders to sign new trade pact

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — President Donald Trump joined the leaders of Canada and Mexico at a global meeting in Argentina on Friday to sign a revised North American trade pact that he called “groundbreaking” and a benefit for “working people.”
