If you need to renew your passport or apply for your first one, the U.S. Postal Service will host a number of passport fairs across the Rio Grande Valley this month.
No appointments are required and applicants will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
The passport fairs will be held at the following locations:
April 14
>> Harlingen Post Office, 1502 New Combes Hwy, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
>> Mission Post Office, 901 N. Francisco Ave., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
April 21
>> Ednburg Post Office, 410 S Jackson Rd., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
>> Weslaco Post Office, 109 N. Border Ave.,, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You must bring proof of American citizenship: certified birth certificate, consular report of birth abroad, certificate of citizenship or previous passport.
Proof of identification: previous U.S. passport or passport card, certificate of naturalization, valid driver’s license, military ID card, government ID card, current foreign passport.
Two passport photographs 2×2 inches in size.
Passport application.
Minors under the age of 16 must appear with both parents.
Adult passports cost $110, plus a $35 execution fee.
Child passports cost $80, plus a $34 execution fee.
