Bees add physical winger Clouthier

HIDALGO — The Killer Bees announced on Tuesday the team has signed winger Brett Clouthier for the 2009-10 season. Clouthier is entering his ninth pro season and has accumulated 1,496 penalty minutes in 502 regular-season pro games. Clouthier, who is an AHL free agent, will be a part of the AHL’s Providence Bruins’ training camp. If he isn’t signed by the Bruins, Clouthier will play for the Bees.
Clouthier spent the last three seasons with the Manchester Phoenix of the EIHL. He has also spent time with teams in the AHL, UHL and ECHL, including full seasons with AHL clubs Binghamton (2005-2006) and Albany (2001-2003).
