Roadrunners release 2012 schedule

Edinburg — The Edinburg Roadrunners announced their 2012 schedule Thursday. They will play 96 games against five opponents in throughout Texas. The season will run from late May into early September.
The Roadrunners open the new season at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23 against the Abilene Prairie Dogs at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
Among the highlights of the 58-game home schedule are 11 Thursday $2 Beer Night games and six $2 Tuesday games. Other promotions include fireworks, giveaway nights and youth clinic nights. The Roadrunners also play 26 weekend games (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Edinburg Baseball Stadium this season.
