Sackett bags fourth TSWGA

Linda Sackett from Silverhorn Golf Club in San Antonio is used to winning. She added a fourth TSWGA Champions Trophy to her collection Friday at McAllen Country Club.

Sackett defeated Marilyn Rashid, from Fair Oaks Ranch, 3 and 2. Sackett was the winner in 2007, '03 '01.

Eight other twosomes competed for honors Friday. Those playing had survived three elimination rounds to get to the finals in each flight. Flight winners are as follows:

Liz Steege; Marianne Seal; Nita Pickens; Joy Owens; Annella Portalatin; Faith Wilsher; Judy Kramer; and Jane Thompson.
