Comments 0 | Recommend 0McALLEN - The Darren McCarty-Jason Cirone celebrity charity All-Star game, originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, has been moved back to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the RGV Ice Center. McCarty, a four-time Stanley Cup champion with the Detroit Red Wings, has been delayed by a family issue and will not be able to get into the Rio Grande Valley before Wednesday.
A charity dinner, originally scheduled for Monday night at Las Palmas Renaissance Hotel, has been moved to Thursday night. All proceeds from the game, dinner and autograph session (now 5 p.m. Wednesday at Jay's Sk8 Shop inside the RGV Ice Center), will go to Driscoll's Children's Hospital, the McCarty Cancer Foundation and RGV Youth Hockey.
