Klempa named CHL player of the week

HIDALGO —Killer Bees winger Tomas Klempa on Monday was named the CHL player of the week. In three games, Klempa had three goals, one assist and the game-winning goals in both of the Bees’ wins last weekend over Texas.
Klempa’s 28 points are tied for second on the Bees and he's riding a 10-game point streak heading into Tuesday's game against Laredo. In the Bees’ last four games he has five goals, seven points and a plus-six rating.
His 16 goals are second on the Bees behind Aaron Lee’s 17.
