Vipers stay hot, beat Toros

CEDAR PARK – Will Conroy and Greg Smith each scored 20 points and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers won for the eighth time in nine games with a 114-101 victory over the Austin Toros on Wednesday night.

Conroy also had nine assists.

The Vipers improved to 19-10 and closed to within one game of the first-place Toros (18-7) in the NBA Development League standings. The Vipers are 3-1 on their current road trip and will next play a back-to-back series at Idaho beginning Friday.
