UTPA women's golf finishes 15th in Oklahoma

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The University of Texas Pan American women's golf team shot a final round 339 on Tuesday to finish the ORU Shootout in 15th place at the Meadowbrook Golf Club in Oklahoma.The Broncs shot a combined 1000 for the tournament.

Junior Majo Camey who began the day tied for sixth, shot a 13-over 85 and finished with a three-round total of 236, dropping her to 24th.

Freshman Samantha Garcia, had the best scorecard on Tuesday with a nine-over par 81, after struggling with opening round scores of 91, and 99. Sarah Kothny was four stokes behind Garcia with an 86. Juniors Haley Hocott and Melinda Uriegas each shot an 87.
