RENO, Nev. — Preston Knowles made a 3-pointer with 5.6 seconds remaining to lift Springfield past the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 100-99, on Thursday at the NBA Development League Showcase. Oklahoma-product Willie Warren led the Vipers with 17 points as he made 15 of 16 from free throw line. Houston Rockets assignee Marcus Morris was helped off the court early in the game after shooting a jump shot. He appeared to injure his ankle and did not return.
