Unity to address the Spiritual Solution

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

At the 10:30 a.m. Worship Celebration Service this Sunday, September 20, Unity of the Valley’s Spiritual Leader, Licensed Unity Teacher Michael J. Scales will present the Sunday Lesson, titled “The Spiritual Solution.” Kaye Maserang.

Wouldn’t it be great to have no problems? Have you ever wondered what you would do if all your problems were solved? Indeed, sometimes it seems that, if it weren’t for our problems, we wouldn’t have anything to do at all – that life is nothing but an endless string of problems. We might ask ourselves, “Is this what life was meant to be – just dealing with one messed-up situation after another?”

This is a question that often motivates the individual onto one’s spiritual path because it just doesn’t seem that constant problems should be the plight of a child of God. Somehow, the soul senses that God’s will is for something greater than this. Scripture tells us: “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8: 28).

If this is so, why do we have problems? In his life lesson, Scales will suggest that perhaps the source of our problems is that we have gotten out of attunement with God’s will for us. This could be good news, for it means that there is a spiritual solution to all our problems – the realignment of our individual hearts and minds to the great Infinite Heart and Mind of God. No problem can be solved at the same level of consciousness at which it was created – the solution lies in moving to a higher level of consciousness, which can only be achieved through a return to conscious oneness with God.

In his lesson, Scales will give the individual practical steps he or she can take to access the power of God and receive the spiritual solution to his/her problems.
