Palm Valley Animal Center's Pets of the Week are:

Hi! My name is MELVIN. I am a 3-month-old male Domestic Shorthair. I enjoy playing with toys, children and other cats. I also like to check out everything that is going on around me. I guess you could say I am a very curious kitty. Actually, if you come and see me, you will find I would be the perfect match for any family, big or small.

Well Hello Valley! My name is ROCCO, and I am a 2-year-old male Domestic Shorthair. I am a super laid back cat and wouldn’t mind lounging around with you. We can watch movies together or just sit in quietness enjoying each other’s company. While doing this you can pet me and release any stress you may have. It would be a win, win for both of us. Is anyone out there? Let me take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself.

My name is FLAME and I am a 3-month-old male Domestic Shorthair. I am your typically little kitty that has a super playful personality and loves to chase things around. I also really enjoy clowning around with children and other kitties. I must admit, at times I do need some alone time as well as I enjoy going off by myself and investigate my surroundings. So if you’re looking for a playmate or just a cuddling partner, here I am waiting for you to come and adopt me today.

Hello, Hello, Hello! My name is CHARLIE. I am a 2-year-old male Alaskan Husky blend. Even though by birth I am 2, I play as if I am a puppy. I am super energetic and love to go for walks to burn off some of that extra energy. It would be great if my adopter has experience with Huskies, as I can be a little overwhelming for some. I would like to mention that I am totally housebroken and need a family who could have me indoors. It just gets too hot outside for me at times with the Valley weather. You won’t have to worry if you have kids because I just love them. I prefer to be an only pet, as I don’t do to well with other animals. If you’re looking for a family oriented pet that will walk, run and play with you, come on by and adopt me today.

Hey everyone. Let me introduce myself. My name is NUGGET and I am a 3-month-old female Chihuahua blend. I may be super small in size, but I have more love to give than a dog twice my size. I may come off a little shy, but once we get to know each other well enough, I will turn into your typical little puppy who just loves to play with you. So stop on by and bring your family so that I can work my magic on you. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi! My name is BETH. I am a 2 1/2-year-old female Terrier blend. I have already been spayed, so you won’t need to worry about that when you adopt me. I just adore children and do fine with other pets. I do great on a leash when walking together. I am your perfect lap dog and will enjoy every moment we spend together. It doesn’t matter if it’s playing together or just kicking back in the house relaxing. I truly am your perfect family pet.

Adoption fees include first series of shots,spay/neuter operation, microchip, and a month of pet insurance. For more information on adoptions, visit the Palm Valley Animal Center at 2501 W. Trenton in Edinburg or call 956-686-1141. You can also see a list of all of the adoptable animals 24 hours a day at www.
