EDINBURG - Jason Clemente Garces has been cleared following a three week trial where he was found not guilty in the 2011 murder of Rogelio Salinas in McAllen.

After a day and a half of deliberation and a three week trial Garces was found not guilty Thursday evening and allowed to go home a free man, however defense attorney Rick Salinas—no relation to victim, said that in murder cases no one wins because at the end of the day a life was lost, families were continue to grieve and answers may never be found.

Salinas, 25 was murdered on June 4 2011 at a house on the 1300 block of Gardenia Street in McAllen with a .22 rifle. Garces, 30 , had been accused of being the triggerman, however jurors were not convinced by the claims made by witnesses and handed down the not guilty verdict.
