TEA investigators in Donna today

DONNA -- Texas Education Agency investigators are back at the Donna school district's offices today.

A team from TEA’s grant audits division will be in the district’s federal programs officefor around a week, according to grant audits director Ramón Medina.

Medina referred all further questions to TEA officials in Austin.

The Donna school district was investigated by TEA last summer. A report with the results of that investigation, released earlier this month, alleged accounting irregularities, possible nepotism and violations of state purchasing laws within the district’s administration.
