The Hidalgo County Commisioners Court discussed nepotism during executive session of a recent meeting, a county spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Citing state law, Hidalgo County spokeswoman Cari Lambrecht said she could not disclose details of the discussion. However, she did confirm that nepotism within Hidalgo County was talked about as a personnel issue.

The discussion took place during executive session at the commission's Tuesday meeting. Lambrecht said it was “not an investigation.”
