MCALLEN — "Love" is the topic for this Sunday’s 10:30 a.m. service and Sunday School at McAllen’s Christian Science Church. St. John says it most simply and eloquently in the key-note Bible text for this sermon, "God is love." In our sermon Church Founder Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good." This continuity of Love’s giving is further explored in our 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening meetings which include testimonies of healing in Christian Science and remarks by visitors and members. All are invited and welcome to this service held in the Reading Room/Sunday School Annex, 911 N. Main St. Regular Reading Room hours are Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call during Reading Room hours for more information or visit www.spirituality.com anytime.
