Ms. Monica Elissa Barrera and Mr. Bruno Agustín Gri reaffirmed their wedding vows and were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at eleven o'clock in the morning at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Father Italo Dell’Oro, C.R.S. officiated the double ring ceremony.

Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Daryel Nance.

The scriptures were read by the bride’s sister, Marissa Gutierrez and brother in-law, Javier Gutierrez.

Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at the Houston City Club with music provided by Mariachi Imperial and The Avalon Music. 

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Carrabba's Italian Grill.

The bride is the daughter of Luis and Lucille Barrera of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Villegas Jr. of Pharr, Texas and Mrs. Adelaida Barrera and the late Mr. Arnoldo Barrera of San Diego, Texas.

The groom is the son of Juan and Lucia Gri of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Longueira and Mr. and Mrs. Domingo Gri of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown from the Jewel collection designed by Priscilla of Boston. The strapless ivory Alencon lace gown featured a scalloped sweetheart neckline and a satin band at empire with a delicate appliqué adorned by hand with crystals, rhinestones, and pearls. The A-line skirt and chapel length train were ornately embroidered with Swarovski crystals. To compliment her gown, the bride wore a waltz length Alencon lace veil worn by both her mother and her sister that was attached to an Alencon lace cathedral veil also worn by her sister.

The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses, hydrangeas and tulips. Attached to the bouquet was a Mother of Pearl brooch belonging to her mother and the rosary she received at her first holy communion.

Serving as matron of honor was the bride's sister, Mrs. Marissa Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Bridesmaids were Price Raborn, Ashley Mosing, Olenka Rdultowski, Laura Adal and Jillian Hall. 

Serving as honor attendant was Miss Lindcee Barrera of Austin, Texas.

Mr. Juan Ignacio Gri from Buenos Aires, Argentina served his brother as best man.

Groomsmen were the groom’s brothers, Sergio Gri of Barcelona, Spain and Franco Gri of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and his brother-in-law, Javier Gutierrez of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Monica is a 2003 graduate of Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006 from The University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2011.

Bruno studied to receive a degree in Information Technology at the Universidad CAECE (Centro de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Exactas) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is currently employed as a Network Engineer at a large Houston based retail company.

Following their honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
