C-Styles wins Shwayze opening slot

Festiva, in association with Dontgetemo concert promotions and the Cine El Rey Theatre venue, hosted a showcase Monday night to find a local opener for Malibu rap duo Shwayze. Six acts competed, dozens of fans came to the free show.
Afterward, we hosted an online vote. About 330 fans picked their favorite act. C-Stlyes, a Brownsville rapper, won 36 percent of the vote. Adhering to the fans choice, the concert promoters have picked him to open for Shwayze.
