"Robots + Us" science exhibit invades IMAS on Saturday
Robots will descend upon the International Museum of Art and Science at noon Saturday, Feb. 11, in McAllen.
An opening reception will introduce museum visitors to the "Robots + Us" traveling science exhibit, which will be calling IMAS home until Sunday, May 27.
Children of all ages will get to interact with a robot with face recognition, and Lena, a computer avatar.
Take an arm wrestling challenge against a robotic arm, or play with light-, sound- and movement-generating sensors.
Learn how biology and engineering work together and why robot designers are studying ants and cockroaches.
There is an extra cost of $3 per child (4 to 12 years of age) and $5 per adult in addition to the regular admission price.
