NATALIE HAIME: The Country Queen

Highway 7 runs through southern Ontario, Canada and became the inspiration for sisters Natalie and Kelly Haime for their country band of the same name.

Natalie and her sister would spend hours driving down the highway, singing songs on the radio, or one Kelly wrote while traveling the 445-mile-long road.

After high school, Natalie moved to the Rio Grande Valley to attend University of Texas-Pan American on a golf scholarship. Now she and her sister are playing gigs all over South Texas.

Soon their days of gigging in the Valley will be over, and they'll be off to conquer another town -- Nashville. Natalie and Kelly expect to toss their hat in the country music industry game within a year.

What are five products you use to look hot?

"I use Bare Minerals make-up, for sure. And I use Maybelline Full and Soft Waterproof mascara. Best freakin' mascara ever. It's like, one of those things, that I've spent so much money on trying different mascaras like Lancome, that that one is just the best. Bert's Bees lip balm. I use the one with a little bit of a tint in it ... Kiss My Face Peaches ‘n' Cream moisturizer on my face. And Chanel No. 5 for perfume."

What did you look like a little kid?

"Oh, I was so ugly as a little kid. (laughs) I started getting ugly when I turned like, eight. So like, a little kid, I was, I guess, kind of cute, but I was an ugly child. I'm not gonna lie."

Which Valley restaurant would you take a first date to?

"My first date with them, I would want them to take me to ... oh, gosh, that one doesn't exist anymore, does it, that Blue Aquarium. Oh, I used to freakin' love that place ... um, let me see, best restaurant. See, I would've said Fresco, but it's not here anymore."

What makes people jealous about you?

"I think ‘cause I have a really good ability just to block out any negativity. Like, I really don't care what anybody says at all. I can be very unfeeling. (laughs)"

Describe your sexiest pair of shoes.

"They're black stiletto, lace up the front and up part of the ankle. They're pretty hot."

What physical feature are you most insecure about? "My teeth. I have huge teeth."

When you want to pig out, what do you eat? "Domino's thin crust pizza. It's my favorite. Way better than Pizza Hut ... veggie, with pepperoni. And pineapple."

What's one bad habit you wish you could kick?

"Oh, biting my nails. I've tried stopping. I've tried putting stuff that tastes like crap on them. I'll eat it anyway. I've tried everything you can possibly imagine. (laughs) One way or another, they're getting bitten off."

When did you realize you were hot?

"Aww, probably when they asked me to be in this thing. (laughs) That's when I was like, ‘Really!?'"

Who is your celebrity crush?

"The new Captain Kirk. What is his name? Oh! Chris Pine!"

Would you or have you ever dated a younger man?

"You know what, it's so funny. I always said I was going to date older people and every single boyfriend I've ever had has been younger than me."

How are you vain?

"I have to say every time there's a mirror, I'm not gonna lie, I go by and check it. But not for the reason most people do. Like, ‘oh, look at me, I'm so hot', I want to make sure I don't have something hanging from my nose, or toilet paper on my foot or something. Or something in my teeth."

What's the worst date you ever had?

"It was with this guy, I don't even remember his name. I just remember it because we were sitting at what used to be TGIFriday's ... he was so irritating in the sense that literally every maybe, I'd say five minutes, he complimented me on something, but it wasn't even in context."

What's your favorite store in La Plaza Mall?

"Sephora. Yeah. The mothership. I just love it. Love make-up ... and it's so funny because I'm generally pretty basic with the make-up I wear, because I don't feel like waking up early and applying it. But I love having all those lotions and potions."

Have a fan that's in love with you?

"Not that I know of. I did have a guy who kinda asked me out on MySpace, but then I told him I was married and that ended that. Then I tried to push him off on Kelly. I was like, 'But my sister's single.' (laughs) It was great. He was old, too. Older."
