"Anyway You Want It" marks the second song recorded by The Broken Poetz. The group came together earlier this year, and it consists of musicians who have been active in local music for year. David Alcocer, the group's vocalist and rhythm guitarist, wrote the hook and first verse of the song. He also handles producing duties for the Poetz.
He's a big Beach Boys and Brian Wilson fan, and he says he always wanted to produce music. Now he's doing it.
"It's a fun process, when somebody nails a take it's exciting," Alcocer says.
Alcocer and the Poetz have much production ahead of them in the coming months. They've recorded five songs, and they're working to complete a full debut album by January. Stay tuned.
