The GoLightly Project is almost a household name in the local hip hop scene and the word is still spreading. DeWayne GoLightly, who is now a solo artist, worked with Jonathan Rodriguez before the two went their separate ways. As a duo, they wrote the song "Caught Up", which is a favorite among fans of The GoLightly Project. GoLightly focuses on his career as a producer, but is still an artist and performs regularly in the Rio Grande Valley.

WHAT SONGWRITER JONATHAN RODRIGUEZ SAYS: The song is about a girl who was not being treated right or well that we knew she could do better. Sometimes it's not only the outer beauty the fellas look for, but also what the girl is really all about. I remember Dwayne playing the beat on the keyboard and for some reason the melody and words "caught up" kept coming to my head so I began humming it and singing. Sure enough Go was like, "Keep doing that!" Then he started singing and that's how quickly the hook was done. We do a lot of our writing in our heads, not a pen and paper. I think at that time when we were writing the song our fan base which is about 90% women, began to open up to us on MySpace and actually talk to us on a personal level, not just the music. They would talk to us about their problems especially boyfriend problems . So from all these girls complaining about their men is how we came up with the topic, "Caught Up".
