Texas governor promotes McAllen country band
Marshall Law, a McAllen-based country rock group, moved on to the national stage recently.
How did they get there? They were on Gov. Rick Perry’s chest.
Last month, Perry attended an event in Aspen, Colo., at the Aspen Institute. During an event, he took the stage with four other Republican governors. He wore a shirt saying “Marshall Law has been declared,” according to a report from the Aspen Daily News.
Perry told the newspaper he wanted to give the band a little bit of national exposure.
Earlier this year, Marshall Law opened up for Tracy Lawrence at the South Texas Event Center in San Benito. It’s been a big year for the group.
Looks like Marshall Law has taken effect nationwide.
