WHERE THEY ARE NOW: Vally Lemmons
Before joining the rockin' trio Warryor, ‘the little guy with a big voice' was part of the pop punk trio Vally Lemmons. Like Warryor, this band built a strong following and often co-headlined some of the largest festivals in the Valley. From their early days of playing Green Acres and backyard birthday parties, frontman Chris Daniel remained a constant throughout the years despite a few shuffles in the lineup. When guitarist and sibling Dave Benitez jumped on board there was no stopping them. Until the band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2004 Vally Lemmons had already released two full length albums-Spontaneous Drive/Punk Rock Revolution. These days both are still making music as part of the heavy metal/rock ‘n roll band Warryor. Recently, the band inked a deal with MusikWorks a record label owned and operated by Paul Shortino (Quiet Riot/Rough Cutt) and managed by Keel Entertainment (owned by Ron Keel of Steeler and Keel fame). Following a summer of gigs throughout Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and a spot on 2008 Rocklahoma the guys are set to head into the studio this fall. Between gigs with Warryor, Chris Daniel stays busy writing and recording for his solo project. The band's original drummer Omar Cuellar moved to the west coast where he later joined the indie outfit Facing New York.
